March For Life in Washington, D.C.
The Christian Citizenship at St Lorenz Frankenmuth is sponsoring a bus to the March For Life Rally on January 23, 2012 in Washington D.C. The bus will leave St Lorenz at 6 am on Sunday, January 22 and return late Tuesday, January 24 for a three-day, two-night visit to our nation’s beautiful capitol. In addition to the gathering on the Mall and the march along Constitution Avenue, we will also visit memorials that honor historical milestones, tour Mt Vernon and enjoy the displays and gift shop at the White House Visitor Center. The cost for the bus, hotel rooms and extra attractions ranges from $228 – $361 per person, depending on the number of persons in a room. The only extra cost will be for lunches and dinners. A $100 per person deposit is required by December 1, 2011, and final payment by January 2, 2012. Payments are to be made payable to St Lorenz Christian Citizenship and mailed to St Lorenz Lutheran Church, 140 Churchgrove, Frankenmuth, MI 48734. Please contact Martha Huber at 989-652-9710 for more details if you have interest in participating.
Statewide Diaper Shower
Statewide Diaper Shower from Mother’s Day through Father’s Day
Lutherans For Life of Michigan sponsors an annual Statewide Diaper Shower starting on Mother’s Day through Father’s Day. Plan now to participate in this spring event supporting local, pro-life pregnancy resource centers throughout Michigan.
The procedure is very simple…
1) encourage the members of your congregation to purchase packages of disposable diapers
2) collect the diapers in a specified area at your church
3) tally the number of individual diapers collected and call or email the total to Connie at 586-949-9261 or lflmi@comcast.net
4) donate the collected diapers to your local pregnancy care center.
“…whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me.” Matthew 25:40
